I will be going on vacation with my long time girlfriend in January and would like to get her something special as a gift. I was wondering if anyone out there would have a good idea of something special I could get for her. We will be on a plane going to another country so I need to take that into consideration. Please Help !!

How sweet of you to want to give her something before vacation! I think a nice idea would be to make a "pre-trip" gift basket stocked with things she'll need for your travels. Put in there a travel bag, travel pillow, wet wipes, a pashmina shawl that she can wrap around her when she's chilly, and a cute passport holder. These little thoughtful gifts add up to a very nice and loving gesture.

How about making her something...personal, about her, about you, about your relationship. What do you dream of together or for the trip? Buy a simple item that represents that dream. Use her nickname, create a gift w/that theme. I.e. small crystal or silver item of something personal betw. you. Use a phrase/code word you use that speaks to the depth of your relationship. What object can you put that word on?What possibility of adventure/fun can you create for the trip Propose to marry?
