Order Your Christmas Ornaments Early
August 14, 2008
It's never too early to start planning your holiday home decor and the ornaments for your holiday tree are a great place to start. It's now possible to
personalize ornaments with inscriptions, names of family members and more. One of my favorites is a family
Christmas tree ornament from Personal Creations with up to eight family member characters attached to a mini Christmas tree. You can even have 'mom', 'dad' and the names of each family member printed right on the ornament.
Gifts.com has some wonderful
ornament gift sets including beautiful
glass ornaments to brighten your holiday tree. I love glass ornaments because they reflect and enhance the lights on the tree. Grandin Road has some beautiful beaded glass ornaments that will enhance your holiday decor with a multitude of shimmering spheres. Be sure to order your holiday ornaments early so that you can be ready to decorate the house at the start of the season.

Guitar and Lessons All in One
April 7, 2008
I remember my first guitar. How I begged my parents for one and all the lessons and skipping of lessons that followed.
Wouldn't it be great if you could get your budding superstar a guitar they could teach themselves to play?
Well you can with the
1 Man Band Acoustic Guitar. This thing is equipped with the works. It has a built in tempo and
beat system you can strum along to, as well as a pick, guitar case and instructional CD.
This guitar is a great gift for a
music lover of any age who wants to learn a new instrument but doesn't know where to begin.

Fun Way to Fight Fright
February 21, 2008
Frankly, I wasn't really sure what I was looking at when I entered The Shrunks booth at the Toy Fair,
but not soon after that, I heard a voice say "What are you afraid of Dan?..". And with that I was introduced
to the Fight Against Fright.
The Shrunks are an extremely fun line of toys that take a clever approach to help youngsters
conquer nighttime fears.
Specifically there are three products lines I love. The Udo dolls are a collection of seven funky plush toys that
put a non-threatening face on common kid fears like the Closet, Under the Bed and Thunder. Another Shrunks line I love
is their Fright Bustr' Tools. Kids can use them to help ward off things that go bump in the night. Armed with such tools
as the Yell'r Blowhorn the See'r Flashlight and the Mist'r Calming Spray, kids get a confidence boost to overcome their
bedroom fears. And finally, there's the Fear Bustin' Tool kit, which contains a Fright Bustr' Blow'r Whistle Fear Free
doorknob hanger and Safe Zone Barricade Tape all contained in a lunch-boxy case.
How much fun is this stuff? I love these gifts for parents who are helping their young kids get over their fears.
The
Shrunks website and product line goes live this spring.
